The Art and Olfaction Awards judges are drawn from various creative industries, with diverse fields of interest, backgrounds and specialisations. We believe that this diversity creates a stronger, more inventive and more accurate jury.
INDEPENDENT & ARTISAN AWARDS: PRELIMINARIES
The preliminary round judges will select the finalists in the independent category and in the artisan category from the pool of submissions. The five finalists in each category will move on to the final stage of judging.
INDEPENDENT & ARTISAN AWARDS: FINALS
The finals judges will select the winners in the Artisan and Independent categories, out of the pool of finalists selected by the judges in the preliminary round.
SADAKICHI AWARD FOR EXPERIMENTAL WORK WITH SCENT
The Experimental Category jury will select the five finalists from the pool of submissions, as well as the winner. The winner will be the top scoring project, as decided by the jury listed below.
The judges for the independent and artisan categories will be reviewing the submissions blindly. Your submission will be tracked by a number, and nothing else. All they will see to contextualize what they are smelling is your small text describing your intention for the scent.
The judges for the experimental award category will not be reviewing the projects blindly. This is because the judges will require supporting material in order to effectively assess the project, and that material will most likely contain identifying information. However, in order to maintain fairness and impartiality, any judges with personal connections to submitted projects will not be able to score those projects.
Please respect our judges’ time and privacy, and refrain from contacting them about your submission.
